How to lock your Registered Domain as a Customer ?

Locking domains is for security. Once you lock the domain any operation like domain renewal, transfer ,change of contact details ,name servers etc can be done only if the domain is unlocked.This section explains steps in safe locking your domain name.

Required Information
--------------------
Your Domain Control panel username and password.

Procedure
----------
[1] Go to domain control panel.

[2] Supply the user name and password.

User Name is email that you used while registering the domain .

[3] Under products Menu, click on the link list last 10 domains.

[4] Click on the domain name which you wish to manage.

[5] Click on the Lock / Unlock option button.

[6] Check the customer lock option and supply a reason such as " security ".

Creation of Lock will take minimum 48 hrs to reflect in whois output.
Applying Lock will prohibit you from changing the Name Servers, Contact details etc.
